If your child and their friends are new to boating. or a little apprehensive and want to stay in and around Cardiff Bay, then this is the trip for you.
At Bay Island Voyages, we will greet your party and issue a lifejacket to every member, ensuring that these are fitted correctly. A safety briefing will be given prior to departure so that everyone onboard feels comfortable with the trip ahead.
You will then set off from Mermaid Quay where your child and their friends will have a fun filled fantastic trip! Heading across Cardiff Bay with some music onboard, they can experience the wind on their faces before heading up one of the rivers for some chilled time and maybe a rendition of “Happy Birthday”? Feel free to take some pictures of the party child aboard our vessel…
Chat, sing and get your breath before heading back across the Bay for some more fun and then depart back at Mermaid Quay so you can continue your celebrations when ashore! There are plenty of places in and around Mermaid Quay for food and drinks, just remember to allow enough time to de-kit from your trip before your restaurant booking.
We understand some children can be nervous, so our experienced skippers will take good care of your group and adapt the trip accordingly. Each of our boats holds 12 people, and we ask that an adult is present on each boat party. We can run 2 boats at a time for a children’s party, so if you have more than 11 friends you want to invite, please get in touch so that we can schedule an extra boat for you.

Party Age: Up to and including 15yrs old
Suitability: Minimum height 1.1m and the ability to hold on by themselves for the duration of the trip.
Parent/child ratio: There must be 1 adult accompanying the children. (max of 12 people per boat/max 2 adults)
